November 15, 2011 Training Day

This training session was dedicated to Navy LT Mark Wilson, Sr, SEAL Team TWO who was killed in 1995. He left behind a family that included one son. A donation to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation will help provide a college education to his son.  http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/billwhale/ufc2012

Biked 10.5 miles – HR 120-130 / Lifted Routine 1 – 12/10/8 / Felt Ok

Still cleaning and sorting gear. Trip identified several adjustments and enhancements I want to make to my Kruger Dreamcatcher – Drain holes in the seat, GPS mounting system, portage bar connection, Balogh sail pulley connection, Go Pro camera mounting system, mast base ring re-installed and back band bulkhead connection. Seems to be a never-ending process of making adjustments to perfect the fit between boat and man. The one thing I have going for me is that I started this process with an outstanding boat.

  1. I’ll be interested to learn more about your training routine and how well the aerobics and lifting translate to paddling endurance. Real bike or stationary? Work or home?

Thanks for supporting the continuous education program last night – it was nice talking with you!
